The Blended and Step Family Newsletter November, 2010
In this month’s Newsletter:
Are you ready? The holidays are coming! I hope by now you have your visitation schedule finalized. With this schedule in place, you can make plans for your blended family. The holidays are a tough time. Remember to stay healthy yourself- eat right, get enough sleep, and don’t over plan or over commit yourself- you won’t be the best spouse and parent you can be. Spend some extra time with the kids- discussing the holidays- what to expect and how they feel. Let them share their feelings, and just listen, as long as they are respectful. Everyone is going to want time with you- your spouse, your kids, your step kids, your parents, your friends (your job!)- and there just doesn’t seem to be enough time. Try to keep it balanced, and remember – if anything can be a little out of balance with the rest of the people listed- it’s time with your mate. A strong and stable marriage will help your blended family more than time with any other family members. I listened to your issues around the holidays and created a special Holiday Survival Package for you:
The Holiday Survival Package includes:
What’s about this “Podcast for the Ex?” Well, while talking with many of you, sometimes I hear the words, “I wish you could tell that to my ex!” So, I thought about it, took many of your comments, and created a podcast that will help you with your ex-spouse through the holidays. I think you will enjoy and also learn from this podcast, and it’s perfect to send a link to your ex-spouse. Those of you that have talked with me personally, or heard one of my podcasts will know that I’m a pretty soft-spoken person (although opinionated too!) Anyway- you will find this podcast to be very sensitive and yet informative for your ex-spouse. I will be happy to send them the download link, “A gift from The Blended and Step Family Resource Center was purchased for you.” Purchasing this Holiday Survival Package gives you permission to forward the link (or I will send them a link directly from the resource center) to your ex-spouse, or ex-spouses. I guarantee this podcast will help you in your daily holiday struggles with your ex. Get your Holiday Survival Package now- before the madness begins! Click here for more information.
